Boredom Busters (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Information we collect
When you visit our store, place an order or contact us, we may collect:

  • your name, email address, phone number and delivery address;
  • order details and purchase history;
  • payment confirmation (card details are processed securely by our payment provider, and we never see or store your full card details);
  • device and browsing information, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies.

How we use your information
We use your information to:

  • process, dispatch and deliver your order;
  • send order confirmations and tracking updates;
  • respond to your questions and support requests;
  • prevent fraud and keep our store secure;
  • improve our website and products;
  • send newsletters and promotions, only if you have subscribed.

Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share it with trusted service providers who help us run our store:

  • Shopify (our e-commerce platform);
  • our payment provider;
  • our courier partner (Aramex), to deliver your order.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

Our website uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use our store. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work properly.

Marketing
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the “unsubscribe” link in any email.

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. Information is stored securely by Shopify and our service providers, and kept only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

Your rights
Under POPIA, you may:

  • request access to the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct or delete your information;
  • object to the processing of your information for marketing.

Children’s privacy
Our products are for children, but our store is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
