Refund policy
At Boredom Busters, every order is checked before it is dispatched. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.
Damaged, defective or incorrect items
If your item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery at team@boredombusters.co.za with:
- your order number;
- a clear description of the problem;
- clear photos and/or video of the item and its packaging.
Claims reported after 7 days, or without photos, may not be accepted.
Change of mind
We do not offer change-of-mind returns or exchanges beyond any rights that may apply under South African law. Where such a return is permitted by law, the item must be:
- unused and in the same condition as received;
- complete, with all parts, accessories and free gifts;
- in its original, undamaged packaging.
The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping. Original delivery fees are non-refundable.
Used products
Change-of-mind returns are not accepted for used or opened products, where permitted by law. Damage caused by misuse, improper handling, rough play, unauthorised modification, or not following the instructions or age guidelines is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Defective goods
Defective products are handled in accordance with applicable South African consumer legislation. The Consumer Protection Act provides an implied warranty of quality and, in qualifying circumstances, allows defective goods to be returned within six months for repair, replacement or refund. Normal wear and tear, used consumables (stickers, beads, paints, cards and similar) and batteries are not covered.
Free gifts
If a refund requires the return of the original order, any free or promotional gift supplied with it must also be returned.
Before returning anything
Please contact us first to receive return instructions. Items sent back without approval will not be accepted.
Refunds
Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method. Processing time after approval may depend on your bank or payment provider.
